submitting to Fast

How many pages can I submit to Fast per day without being labeled a spammer. Do they even measure submission for spam?

Hi metaman,

Fast claims that it only needs your root URL and will spider the site from there, the tactics I use to get Fast to spider are:

I find it easier to get sites already in the dB re-spidered, if you have sites already indexed add some links to your new site and re-submit.

Submit your root page, give it a week or so and then prompt gently with some sub pages and second level stuff.

Don't bother submitting any stand alone doorways if they are not linked from the root domain.

Use the advanced search [ussc.alltheweb.com]: select "must include", "yourdomain" select "in the URL".

Hi Vanessa. You can submit up to 50 pages per day directly to Lycos at [home.lycos.com ]. Good luck though. The pages I have in the Lycos database are ancient. I don't know if they ever update.

You know that dog on the Lycos commercials. Yes, it brings things to you in a hurry but they are so darn old that no one wants them.

Lycos also mixes in results from Fast. You can submit to Fast (alltheweb.com) at [ussc.alltheweb.com ].

Submitting to both can't hurt.
