Hello,

I started to run a website, the website is 3 weeks old. I have around 4000 page views per day and 550 registed members. This numbers should go up in the next months because of mayor content on the site but now that my site is up and running i want to start generating revenue from the site but each site/forum/plan of the banner companies just have added more confusion. My site is a South American gaming site.

Whats the best way to get money from my site? (and from which companie)

Best Regards,
Merlin

Are most of your page views on the forums? It is just about impossible to sell advertising on forums, due to the high stickiness.

Your best bet is to market to your target audience. For example, in the CS forum, put up a text link to an affiliate partner that sales CS. In the UT forum, link to an UT affiliate. Games & software sales are high on the internet, and you can find many places with great affiliate terms.

When a new game comes out, be the first to announce it on your forums, with a link to purchase. The nice thing about a community, is people trust you. And it is much easyer to sell to people who trust you, and your website.

You can start affiliate marketing now, however, I think your best bet would be to put that effort into growing your community. You have already done the hard part, by getting the site up, and the initial member base. The hardest members to get, are the first 500.
