Back ending affiliate sites

Have my own order form or use the retailers?

I am about to approach a couple of retailers and offer to create affiliate type sites promoting one or two products (i.e. joint venture with me doing the online marketing)

Im thinking of turning them into minisites (5-20 pages) and was wondering about the backend.

Should I create an order form on my (secure) site which collects the data and then forwards it on to the retailer or should I link directly to their order from?

And if I use my own order form does anyone have advice how I can collect the data (email addresses etc) and forward it on automatically or is there software that does this?

I assume this would the same as if I sold products on one of my sites that were subsequently dropshipped by a manufacturer.

Whenever you can keep more or all of the interaction on your site, you are better off.

It is better from the visitors perspective, and other aspects.

What you might want to do is to pass along the order info from your secure site and have a script fill in the variables on the order form. This way you have a copy of the order and the order is also placed right on his site. It shouldn't be too hard to get a developer todo this as long as you get the permission from the other site owner allowing you to post.
