Affiliate network not providing impression stats

Is it common for an affiliate network not to provide this info?

I signed up with Direct response for my site, it seems they don't provide figures of banner impressions. That's what their support personnel told me when I said my CTRs were all showing as 'N/A'

Is this common with other networks too? I think this is incomplete information to select and retain affiliate programs.

Most do provide it yes. But, do you need it? You have log analysis software right? -- You should be able to ferret that info from your logs...? -- Does that make sense?

I'm signed up as an affiliate member and I use banner rotation, We're just given a tracking code which we have to paste. Nothing is pulled from my site, so there's no way I can know, unless I use a script to serve each merchant's banner individually, then banner rotation is out.
