i am looking for more spots where affiliates and program managers alike hangout. i manage a program and want to interact with other program managers. i like to be involved in my industries community. if you know of other boards, chats, or sites for discussions that reputable folks hang out in, i would like to know. i'm really not looking for people who want to make my unit bigger, sell me car insurance, dope me up on viagra, or refill my inkjet cartridges; the apam i get seems to address all of these issues. i am seeking other individuals like myself who like to talk about the internet's state of commerce right now. thanks a lot. this board is great, but i am sure there are more.

I imagine you have already hit up the big affiliate sites and programs... Amazon.com has a good discussion group in their associates program which relates mostly to promoting Amazon, but a lot of it can be taken and applied generally... It's also a good place to get feedback. Commission Junction and Linkshare each have some things in their programs...but the online discussion is somewhat missing...I set up a page on the links section of my site for great affiliate programs which I'll post if you like (is that against the rules here to post links to your own site?) ...some of which I earn commissions on when they sign up, and some I don't...

I too would be interested in an ongoing discussion about the state of the industry... I read an interesting article tonight after visiting these boards about someone's predictions for Google in 2009. Quite interesting... and somewhat scary too. Which reminds me, I think there are a couple of groups in Google groups which focus around affiliate programs.

Anyway, drop me a line and we can at least check out each other's sites and offer some feedback that way, and maybe open the door for some future discussion.
