Hosting for affiliate sites

After reading the great information here, I am thinking about registering 1-2 new domain names, to create some affiliate sites.

Can anyone recommend a good web hosting plan that allows multiple domains - so that each site has its own admin/stats etc.

I've been using NewWebsite.com for hosting multiple domains for the last 2 years. There is now a $29.95 monthly plan for hosting up to 200 domains which is probably the best route for you to go.

I am currently paying $10 a month - no multiple names allowed - $29 is a reasonable figure - I certainly won't need more than 200 domains.

However, the thought occurs to me that you can find some companies offering dedicated hosting for around $50 per month - naturally you would be able to host multiple domains with a dedicated server.

This would be overkill for me - I don't have huge traffic to justify a dedicated server - but it starts to look attractive if you are having to pay out 30-40 dollars for standard hosting.

While we're on the topic, I'm looking for a similar setup at about the same price, but I will need PHP & MYSQL, which I didn't see at the recommended host. Any suggestions?

I highly recommend prohosters.com

They have all of what you need, and give you unique IP addresses for each domain.

If you later to decide to expand your business and add alot more domains to your account, you will be glad you went with them.

I've also found their tech support to be awesome -- they have 24/7 support thru phone, email, and irc

And no, I don't work for them :)

I just checked out prohosters as per your recommendations. Their prices are amazingly cheap. I took a look at a couple of sites they host, and they were served really slowly, however.

any other people who can vouch for multiple domain hosts? I have a few sites now so i am looking to go this route but can anyone else comment on the 2 above or any others?

With the package deals for multiple domains the total space is generally more than enough, but you have to watch for what the monthly bandwidth allowance is, how much it is to upgrade to the next level, and how much they're charging for extra bandwidth.

I've got a few very small sites on a multi-domain package and while I can still add 2 more domains numerically with plenty of room for them, the bandwidth is only 1 gig a month, which is maxxed out, so I really can't. In fact, before the heavy holiday traffic hits in November I'll probably have to move something or other elsewhere or upgrade.

So with this type hosting are sites seen by search engines as a normally hosted site? So google for example would still be able to crawl my site normally, it would have its own unique IP etc. Thanks for any help.
