Can anyone clue me in on the deal with the x-cam pop-up ad? This has to be the single most aggressive pop-up ad campaign i ever seen. They seem to pop up randomly to me.

Who did x-cam make a deal with for these popup ads? and what, specifically, triggers them?

I think I tested that long ago and it didn't work but you could just get yourself opera or mozilla and you could never see them again.

I use moz and am starting to forget what popups look like ;)

It supposedly worked at first, but then some of us here and elsewhere started developing cookies that were good for 10 years.

Yes, I remember seeing a link somewhere that set the cookie for many years into the future. Don't remember where, though.

I also use Opera when I want to avoid pop-ups. It works great. I can't remember using it and having a pop-up sneak past it.
