Looking for an email list broker

I have an opt-in list that I've previously only sent in-house emails to. It's now over 700,000 strong and I'm looking for a reputable email broker to manage the list. Are there other forums that I should visit for advice as well? Thanks in advance.

dantheman, you'd probably be able to research some by browsing the ODP category. And maybe check references or a customer list? I've worked with list brokers - not email, other venues, and some are better than others; a lot pull bait and switch with their lists.

If you hunt down forums, just watch out for "professional forum spammers" who use the "usual" techniques to promote the companies they actually work for by public recommendations. There are a couple of "pro's" working an email list I'm on; it takes a hearing ear and a very suspicious mind to spot them, they're so subtle and smooth.

What specifically are you looking for in list management? Would anyone else be able to get their hands on you list? A good one is worth its weight in gold.

Hi Marcia and thanks for your thoughts. I'm very wary of the type of people you mentioned.

I'm looking for a broker to source the advertisers, distribute the emails and manage the list. I don't have the resources to do this myself. The quality of the list is A1 - it's never been offered to advertisers before. It's a consumer list with high broadband usage and webcam ownership but is non-adult. It's unique - I built it myself.

I've had a slow response from the several I've contacted (sponsers at yahoo - I figured if they're paying good $$ then they need to make good $$). That's why I'm hitting the board for ideas.
