Good opt-in lists?

Looking for some affordable contacts that are 100% opt-in.

Hey all,

I've got an affiliate program that I'm trying to ramp up a little faster than things are going right now. I've been taking the manual approach to finding and contacting sites I fel would be a good match, and while the response has been adequate, the process is slow (especially on my hick dialup :)

I'd like to send a quick mailout to a larger number of entertainment orientated sites that may be interested in participating. I don't want to "spam", but I WOULD like to purchase some contact information for the sake of saving time, and to hopefully reach some prospects that might not come up so easily when trolling the SE's. I'm sure there must be some opt-ins that are willing to read up on the offer, it's a matter of finding them.

Can anyone recommend any respectable list-brokers or any resources that'd fill the need? Asides from postmaster I don't know of much else, and frankly they're a little more costly than I'm looking for.

Thanks! Any advice is appreciated.

To use a targeted list is going to cost you money. To find people yourself is going to cost you time. It just boils down to what do you have available to spend, time or money?

You may find sites that have newsletters that target the people you're looking for, and ask to advertise in them. But you still would have to spend the time finding them yourself, and money for the ads.

You may be able to find other, more affordable optin list brokers by searching google.

Hey! Thanks for the response, I sort of gave up after a couple of days so I didn't catch your response until now.

I've got more time than money unfortunately, but as I'm not really established enough to contact any 'big' sites at the moment, the process is still tedious. A properly written proposal might get me 1 out of 10 sites, but the sites I'm contacting at the moment are low traffic for the most part, so the time it takes to seek out suitable candidates seems to outweigh the bottom line.

I've contacted a few brokers, but anyone reputable seems to insist on a 'test' buy that's still out of my budget range ($1500+), which to me seems excessive until I've been able to test the waters on a smaller sampling.

If anyone knows of reputable brokers that can help out the little guy, I'd certainly still appreciate the advice!
