How to promote my affiliate program? heres my "special" situation

Hi everybody, im new to this forum, read lots of threads and have learned loads but I need a answer to my problem. The thing is im the owner of a herbal product, Ive worked loads these past 7 months on this.

The problem is that I live in Italy, the program is in italian and it isn't as easy to get affiliates to register. The webmaster resource sites here are crap and its not even worth paying them to put my affiliate program banner up to get affiliates.

I have thought of one solution, here in italy, everybody registers the same sponsor, I have thought that maybe webmasters pay more importance to what sponsors popular, humour , erotic entertainment etc websites use, and so they use the same sponsor as well.

Do you think I should pay one of these high visitors sites to put a banner as if "they" had registered to my program and so kinda make other webmasters register my program?

Why not give it a try for a month or two and see what happens. As an alternative you can approach sites which might be able to sell your products for you and offer them a commission.
