I was trying to put the Amazon custom/native ads in my Wordpress sidebar with not much luck. The latest WP version doesn't like the direct placement of javascript script via a code or html block. When I try to paste it into my sidebar and save it tells me 'JSON error....".
I couldn't find a good plug-in that easily lets you insert stuff into your sidebar either.
So my solution was to go rogue and build my own ad cards to put in the sidebar. I just made my own ad picture, attached an affiliate link to it, and wrote in its description below, that it was an amazon link. Sounds a bit sketchy, I know. Probably I should just put Ad Sense in there. I'm still a ways away from a decent affiliate or ad relationship with regard to monthly traffic.
But my main question is: If I put say 4 or 5 affiliate links in my side bar, in similar fashion than described above, is that going to make it look like every page on my site is spam, and then kill my rankings in Google?
