Burst to run sky scrapers

Burst has sent a memo out that they will begin running 160x600 skyscraper the middle of this month.

Anyone running scrapers now? How well are they working? Site killers?

They have been using them for about 14 months on and off. Com the think of it they use all kinds of shapes....

Burst also wants 30% of the defaults to do anything they want with. (like advertise for more sites).

That's not setting well with alot of burst members.

Brett I was just wondering, why not create your own mediakit and sell ad space. I personally believe you will benefit lot more and in that way you will have control that you might like to have!

I am doing the same one few high traffic sites (about million + hits a month), and it is been working great.

Also, if you don't mind, what tools do you use to track all the CTR, Views, Clicks and other stuff?

The problem I have with them introducing banners is the fact that they are going to utilise the largest possible width of skyscraper at 160 pixels

A respectable % of my visitors are using 800 x 600, and god only knows how many use the whole of the page when operating their browser

In light of this Im steering clear of them, I wouldnt want some ad / flashing ad covering so much of the browser window
