Hello. A friend recently recommended me to Hurricane Digital Media for Publishers.

Here is what I've learned:

- Average CPM for all ads is about $0.17.
- Interface is kind of ugly.
- Also offer popups that pay about $0.79 CPM.
- They fill 100% of your ad inventory. No defaults.

I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with Hurricane, and can give me some additional feedback.

I used to use Mamma Media Solutions as my primary ad company. And they suck.

So, if anyone knows anything about this new company, please let me know.

Thanks.

It's been out there for a few months now.

Their support is good, and they pay on time. A solid company.

Can anyone recommend some better companies?

I've used them as well. Pay on time, very responsive, their rates should improve over time if you stick with them. Seem like a keeper to me for a smaller-medium sized website that can't get into Casale, Burst and Tribal Fusion.

What are their ads like? All smiles and "you have won" crap or anything decent?

They dont actually run their own ads, you will receive ads from valueclick, rightmedia etc but they seem to have negotiated better rates with these companies.

There are not many "You Won" or crappy banners.

Most are nice legit banners.

Yes, I have noticed ads from other companies running

Seem like a keeper to me for a smaller-medium sized website that can't get into Casale, Burst and Tribal Fusion.

My site is relatively new and only has a PageRank of 3, and an Alexa rank of about 85,000, so I have been rejected by Casale, Burst, and Fastclick. I have yet to look into Valueclick, though.

Thank you for all your helpful responses. :)

I forgot to mention this about Hurricane's ads:

One ad that has been appearing lately on my site is trying to install some Active X control.

This makes me mad.

Are you able to filter them or block ones that want to install Activ-X ?

Ads sound okay if they're smilie free.

Nope. There doesn't seem to be any option for filtering ads.

Like I said, the interface is very, VERY basic.

Stats offered: Impressions, eCPM, total revenue. That's it.
