I'm new to this forum. Are we allowed to mention our specific businesses, or sites?

If not, it doesn't matter. I can be vague and still make a point: I have a service type business that can be marketed online and off, and currently I'm doing 'okay' with AdWords as far as getting new clients - but I am very interested in both increasing my AdSense stream through increased targeted traffic, and getting into some decent scam-free affiliates as well.

Any thoughts?

Hi and welcome to WebmasterWorld.

As to your first sentence, no you can't post any specifics about your site or product.

In regards to the 2nd, you'll need to increase your traffic to get greater revenue. In regards to getting scam free affiliates, if you do a CPA model and don't work with spyware companies, you'll be fine.

What exactly is meant by a CPA model? And (excuse my ignorance), how do I avoid spy-ware companies? Afterall, I'm always trying to protect my 'puter from them. I sure wouldn't go with them knowingly...but how does one spot an affiliate-spy-ware company?

CPA= Cost Per Aquisition. In other words they only get paid when they send you a sale vs. PPC when they send you a click/visitor.
