Is Mediavine or Ezoic really worth trying?

Hi,

As adsense is dropping slowly on my end, I am looking into other ways of getting my earnings up. I saw a few bloggers talk about mediavine and ezoic and how this doubled their income etc etc...

I would like to hear from you guys if it is worth switching? Anyone of you tried? Is it worth trying?
What are your results and experience with it?

Thanks in advance,

I use Adthrive and love it.

The only real way to determine any benefit is to actually try it (whatever it might be) out. One webmaster's success might be another webmaster's mess.

Mediavine is great for me. Ezoic is meh. Ugly layout and mediocre ads.

"... how this doubled their income ..."

Doubling nothing is still ... nothing.
Or
Doubling $1 is $2. Yea. Oh, boy. Just what I am looking for, after $500/day in 2013.
As far as I am concerned, it is all over. Accepting that fact is really hard to swallow, for many of us.

I think maybe I will start a religion. After all, it worked for L. Ron.
I SUUURE AS HE|| could make up a better story than he did. WWII bombers in volcanos? Good Lord.
I guess some folks will believe ANYTHING!

I believe I will have another beer.

Doubling nothing is still ... nothing.

Adthrive and Mediavine only take publishers with a minimum number of monthly pageviews (100k for Adthrive, 30k for Mediavine). If you're getting that amount of traffic and making "nothing" then something is horribly wrong.

I've had Adthrive on my main site for a few weeks and even without any kind of optimisation its RPM is 3-4x that of Adsense. I made more with it in the first week than I had in the previous month of Adsense. I've heard stories about publishers increasing their earnings tenfold, and while that hasn't been my experience, I think it would be possible for certain niches.

My recommendation is to switch to one of those two - but you will need good original content and high traffic, most of it from the US, or they won't bother with you.

Thanks so far for the answers. I'm going to contact mediavine if they want to accept me (Europe based). If I start with them I will let you guys know...

In the meanwhile; if there are others who switched, please share your experience :)

100k / mo = 3k / day (3333.333...) ~= 2k visitors / day
30k / mo = 1k / day ~= 700 visitors / day

(roughtly)

so with this amount of visitors you are not making a fortune either :)

Key word = "minimum".
Also, there are several gradients between "nothing" and "a fortune".

You said :
If you're getting that amount of traffic
, so it sounds like you talk about the 100k and 30k you were quoting

Also, there are several gradients between "nothing" and "a fortune".

So how much do you think that someone with 100k or 30k minimum page views per month should earn ?

"... several gradients ..." Gave me a good chuckle.

30K sessions for MediaVine? I thought it was 25K. Did it go up?
I am in the waiting period now with MediaVine. I hear it is about 2 weeks after submission of your analytics pdf.
My big concern is the traffic drop from Big G. My traffic from them is dropping like a rock.
Will I be able to squeeze into Mediavine before my "session" traffic drops below the 25K requirement (at 55K now).

One encouraging factor - my live analytics shows G dropping as a referrer - used to be 80%, now less than 45% ...
Once they take away ALL your traffic from them, they can't take away any more!
One heck of a reason to be encouraged, eh? Looking desperately for anything positive.
