Could datafeeds be killing me?

datafeeds to blame?

I had a directory with 30,000 unique pages.

I added 100,000 pages of datafeeds.

I got $300 of purchases for 3 1/2 months.

May "Boubon", updated arrived.

My site page count on Google jumped from 80,000 to 180,000. Now my site is ranked VERY LOW, my stats got divided by 10.

Could it be the fault of the datafeeds? Should I remove them?

I humbly welcome your gracious SEO wisdom. Whatever actions I take will be mentioned here.

Could be part of the problem.

Did you make your feed pages unique or are they similar to other feeds out there?

I didn't make them truely unique. But I did add links to other areas on our website, those links are listed on all pages, so I guess, that's not unique.

Datafeeds the way you're using them are yesterday. You basically have 100,000 pages of dupe content that a lot of other affiliates have. And getting less than $100 per month on those 100,000 pages - eh.

Hi TrustNo1

What do you mean by "Datafeeds the way you're using them are yesterday"?

I know its important to make your pages unique, so is writing original content the best way?

I removed all datafeeds two days ... Old datafeed pages are redirected via 301. That's 140,000 pages removed

My pagecount on Google is changing almost daily now...
Google is indexing my site everyday.

Today.... Google says we have 174,000 pages indexed. Down from 180,000. My page Google rankings are STILL VERY LOW but we are almost #1 for our own name.

We are still no where to be found for our keywords.
Waiting to see what happens, then I'll add the Google Sitemaps.

This morning Google said I had 174,000 pages indexed.
Search results on my own name: position 5

This afternoon it says 173,000
Search results on my own name: position 4
