Alternatives to CPM/CPC for online gaming?

Hi, I run an online gaming site and banner ads and paid per click aren't paying too much nowadays. I'm convinced we can make more using affiliate programmes. Anyone with experience of running affiliate programmes or anyone with CPM/CPC experience please post to this topic, many thanks.

My recommendation is to look into affiliate programs offering high end gaming PCs instead of promoting the games themselves.
