Free product offer programs

I'm curious about what you guys think about the various free product referral schemes. I have never received a product from the, but they seem to have a good reputation, with positive testimonials and articles in the media.

I bought a site a couple of days ago which is basically a site that helps people get referrals for their free stuff. This is a well trafficked site, and I thought it would be a great place to place some google adwords or maybe amazon links. Is there evidence to suggest that these companies might mind their advertisements being promoted on that kind of site?

English language, and mostly American I believe. The company is based in America.
