For you PPC affiliates, would you offer a guess on what percentage of purchases come from cookie based purchases. IE they didn't buy on the first visit but then went back within the duration? I've started using PPC to go to my landing page, then a % click my affilate and go on. I'm curious how long to let it go if it doesn't appear to convert to sales on the first visit. Maybe try for 30 days and see what the total profit is?

Thanks
John

I've had as much as 40% of all sales for a merchant show up as non-commissionable (purchase took place more than 30 days after the cookie was set) with a 30-day cookie on LinkShare.

It will, of course, vary widely by merchant, the amount of consideration typically given to the purchase, the dollar amount, etc...

Hi

If you have merchants at shareasale then there is now a report the tracks the exact conversion speed of clicks to sales and generates a report covering the time of the conversion and the amount of the conversion, you can then see how effective the merchant is at first visit conversion and how that ties into the value of the purchase, LS and CJ really ought to have this report bur Brian at Shareasale is well ahead of the curve here

Cheers
