I go with one merchant who is HIGHLY profitable for 2 months. I would make 10-15 sales/day. I hooked up with this merchant through CJ.
Almost overnight, sales just came to a screeching halt. The EPC dropped drastically the following month. Sales were rare.
I talked to the merchant and they blamed the possible drop in having old banners. They created new banners, no difference.
I switched the code up and encrypted the links to see if there was a difference...Still nothing...This merchants EPC was in the toilet from previous months.
Anyhoo, Zanox picked up this merchant. So I wanted to see if I could resume the pace I was at when this merchant was hot through CJ.
Guess what?
My sales with this merchant are hot again. The sales rolled in IMMEDIATELY after I switched the code to go through Zanox.
Something is obviously up with CJ...
I still make a profit with using them, so I will continue to use them. But I really don't trust them...
I used to be affiliated with a merchant on BeFree. When I switched to the program of the same merchant on CJ, sales rose noticeably.
Since nothing else had changed I assumed that CJ must have better tracking than BeFree for that merchant.
Why some merchants are tracked better by some networks and not by others I have no idea. Perhaps it's the way the tracking is implemented.
I was quite upset with them but could not find any alternative to what they are supplying. I suspect it has to do with cookies stolen by spywares so I do a redirect before going to the merchant's site.
And you know what, within the day, I got the first sales. Coincidence ah?
I am not good with PHP so there may be some clicks that may be invalidated.
Anyone here know of a way to prevent these stealware from stealing what is legitimately ours?
