Hi, simple newbie question here, after reading that some of you are earning around $100/day, I am curious of hoy many of your visitors click on ads.
Is it 1 in 10?

IŽd also like to know aproximately how much does the PPC advertizers(like google's adsense) pays per click.
I read somewhere in one of these forums that having 1000 visitors pey day, allows one to earn $100 per day; is it $0.1 per click?(sounds to goo to be true)

And finally, is it any click counts, or are there any requirements?

Thanks,

You're asking a lot of questions that aren't defined enough to give solid answers to. Here's my attempt.

Google itself estimates a 2% click-thru on reasonably targeted ads. This means that every time an ad is displayed on a page that is relevant to the ad, you could expect a click approximately 2% of the time.

Pay per click amounts vary widely from 5 cents to up to $100, but the average appears to be under a dollar.

It is common that a site can make 10 cents per visitor, but I would think that the average is closer to 1 cent per visitor.

Finally, any click counts, but Google monitors the quality of your clicks and adjusts accordingly. This is referred to as "smart pricing". If the traffic that you send doesn't do what the advertiser wants at least some of the time, your commission can drop significantly. If the traffic that is clicking on your ads appears to Google like is it just your friends helping you out by clicking on your ads, then your account will most likely be closed and you'll be banned from the AdSense program.

Sorry that my answers are so vague, but it's not as simple as it may sound.

Thanks for your answer Dataguy,
Since I am planning to enter this business, I am trying to understand it better. I would like to see some stats, for example in your website how much money per day you make? and how many visitors per day you usually get?
I understand that the answers vary according to the market and target audience, but It'll help me to get an idea of how it works.

There is no way for anyone to give you a "standard" answer for any of your questions... it just doesn't work that way.

Websites are a very individual thing. If you can succeed in getting a steady $0.02 per visitor, you're probably doing ok... if you can manage $0.05 for every visitor, you're doing great!

If your ads are a oerfect match for your content, and provide visitors with an atractive headline, you'll probably get more clicks... and more money. I've seen click through rates up to 10%, but usually less.

Heres an estimate, if you can get 1000 targeted visitors that found your site (not the other way around), you could probably manage to generate $30/$40 per day, without affiliate sales.

All you can do is try and keep reading these forums, there is a lot of great advice and ideas here!

You really can't even begin to guesstimate without trying it.

One of my sites gets 800 visitors/day, 2 clicks, 8c earnings. So that's an example of how low it can go!

Another site gets nearly 20% of visitors clicking on ads, but still earning only 1c/visitor.

Plus another site gets 30% clicking at over 60c/click, over 20c/visitor.

So even within my sites I get anywhere from 1:400 to 1:3 visitors clicking, and from .01c to 20c per visitor. And there are plenty of sites off both ends of that range.
