ClickBank affiliate system is cookie based, once you're sent to the affiliate you get cookied, then even if you buy later you get the comission, right?

But, what happens when let's say, the visitor is refered to the vendor through affiliate X, and then next day is referer through affiliate Z, then in the third day it goes directly to the vendor.
Who gets the commission?

Z should, but it depends on the cookie life. Any decent program will tell you the cookie life and their policy. Some may even give it to the original click. Read the program terms and it should say.

In CJ & LS it is pretty easy to tell, it says return days or something like that. Not sure about clickbank, they seem a bit sketchy, which probably makes it less competitive, who knows.

Their TOS is vague, that's why I'm asking here :

Determination of affiliate.
The affiliate (if any) we associate with any ClickBank sale is determined by an automated customer tracking system. Any decision made by this system is final, and not subject to petition or debate. Though we believe our tracking system to be more fair and accurate than any alternative, we make no representation regarding the ability of the system to track any specific customer, for any specific length of time.

general rule of thumb: Last cookie gets the sale.

this is presuming that you re-visit within a couple of days...
