One of the paragraphs seemed to be strongly worded about not making any changes to the linking code. It seems that is directed toward the parasites.
However, I've found that Norton will kill all linkshare links (clicksynergy) unless you mask it. I'm using one of the click counter apps to do that and I put together a javascript rotator.
My question is that under the new TOS will LS consider that to be 'changing their links' or 'interfering with their tracking'. When I run ads that way I am also not using the little 1x1 pixel tracking image.
OTOH if anyone looks at how the sites are working they will see that there isn't anything going on that would be trying to circumvent LS, just Norton.

It wouldn't make sense for them to give anyone a hard time for trying to drive more legitimate sales through LS merchants. If the TOS says you can't modify the link code at all, then anyone who does PPC straight to the merchant would be in violation & I can't imagine they would go that far.......
