Do you have any success promoting affiliate programs in this genre? What kind of products do you promote successfully.

I see a lot of poker links, Maxim subscriptions and other "male" oriented programs on sports sites. Does that actually work or are there better niche programs out there that perform well?

Sports Books are Sports Picks sites are a good area to focus on, they are active all year as the different seasons roll in and generally pay pretty well as well as many offering life time commissions on new customers that you refer.

There are also lots of sports related magazines that you can promote within real and fantasy sports that could do well, magazine commissions tend to be high and conversion good, but obviously with a fairly low order value
