Naked Links & Affiliate Network Questions

Not sure if this is against the forum rules or not....

But I'm curious about the "naked link technology" from linkconnector (the affiliate program guys).

It honestly sounds too good to be true, and I'm wondering if I sign up for it, will Google ding my site?


Also, I'm starting my affiliate program and decided to go with Linkconnector on the recommendation of a colleague who came from a major company whose presence on the web is huge. He was their affiliate marketing manager, and now he has his own company.

I can't afford CJ at this point in time, due to their outrageously expensive buy-in at $3k "set up fee" or 2 year contract which breaks down to something like $7k in fees paid out to them.


I was a big affiliate back in the day, now I find myself on the other side of the coin: I'm a merchant now.


I'd love to hear your thoughts on any and all of the above.

Oh also:

Once my coder guy gets the affiliate tracking code properly implemented.....I plan on trolling the Linkconnector network for potential affiliates and reaching out to them.

I also plan on reaching out to the big coupon code guys and offering a discount.

I sell women's clothing......do you think I'm going to be facing a huge challenge?


We had an SEO client about 2 years ago who wanted to start an affiliate program. He sold flowers. He went with LinkConnector and ShareASale and did not get one single sale at all.

Am wondering if having a clothing affiliate program is even worth it? (since it's so bloody competitive).

Is your coder done yet?

Selling women's clothing will be a challenge as there are literally hundreds of thousands of sites/competitors selling the same thing, whether they are just dropshipping, or creating their own line. Do you have a specific niche you're going after?
