I need some advice...

I have several high ranking sites that focus on a select target market of fitness, boxing and martial arts oriented consumers.
I have found several companies that offer exercise equipment, but none that really fit my site’s visitors.
I was hoping that someone could suggest a good high paying affiliate program?

Thanks in advance

There must be loads of books, videos and dvds on the subject. Try Amazon for that lot. I saw somewhere the other day with an aff prog for MA Clothing, training equipment and the like. I'll sticky you the ~URL if i can find it again.

Thanks for the advice and views. They are all valid, but I am looking more for high value products such as actual training equipment, etc. Those products which I can earn large sums of commission off one single purchase...

Let me know if you have found it to be more beneficial to go for high value or high volume?

Thanks

I would go for both. High value AND High volume.

Search for sites that sell the items you are interested in. You may find that some already have an independent affiliate program. If they don't have a program then you could try suggesting it to them as a business idea. You can sometimes become the sole affiliate in a field which is a rather nice place to be.

I would use the books and videos as a bit of a stocking filler. You may find people come across your site when searching for something other than training gear. It's good to give them the opportunity to purchase something!

You make a valid point Ska, it is better to have something to sell rather than nothing at the end of the day and try to monetize your traffic.

I find it hard to believe however that there are no companies that are on this board that would recommend themselves, or affiliates that have had good experiences with Company 'X' that could be shared.

Let me know your views...

Thanks
