General sales drop this month?

Does tax time effect sales?

Hi All:

While I haven't seen any lowering of click thrus on our sites, a good friend with a mid-range store ($30+k in sales a month) has seen a big hit this month in his sales of t-shirts.

Just curious if anyone else out there has seen any decrease this month because of tax season, or some other reason we're not seeing.

Well, the people that have to fork out some dough for taxes probably won't be in the mood to buy much online for the next little bit. However, wait for when people start getting their tax returns back. We'll probably see the exact opposite then...I hope.

I wouldn't count on a refund shopping surge now--people anticipating a refund tend to get their returns done early. I know I did.
