How to use affiliate links in software?

Hello!

I'm very new in this business and read the forum a lot, but it's my first post here.

I have a question to everybody - is there any difference using affiliate links on WEB-Page and on a banner showing in some software?

As I think there is no problem as long as the user will click the link, use a browser and goes on some affiliate site with the link, but how companies as CJ feel about this kind of activities or they don't care?

Could you explain more what you're thinking of doing? Would you be using a particular software program to put banners on a website? Or are you talking about software that would show banners idependently from a website? I don't quite get it.

Check out the Terms of Service or send an e-mail to CJ if you want to be absolutely sure if it is allowed or not.

Beagle, I think he wants to create free software programs and put banner advertising into software. Just like in MSN Messenger or free download accelerators and thousands of other programs that have advertising banners.
