Do a search for "affiliate program directory" on Google, and you should find many resources.

Your best bet is to find the 3-5 people (more if you are in a big niche) in your area who will actually bring you sales. This needs to be done individually - not some form email.

Find those in your field who are already selling your widgets either for themselves, or for your competitors. These people already rank high for your product, so this is the quickest way to get affiliates who can sell for you.

I'm assuming you're running as in indy. If so, besides what's already been posted, also open up your program at a network (more reach). Good way to pick up affiliates, some will produce, most won't. If the idea is to get them over to the indy program, make it a more attractive offer and shuffle them on over.

Just to add slightly to this topic.. are those Affiliate Program Directories you mentioned above any good?

Do websites with decent traffic actually use and trust them to learn about new programs?

I'd like to know the answer to that too - but as a publisher, I don't bother looking up affiliate directories.

im thinking its because some merchants offer 2-tier affiliate programs - so these directories benefit if a publisher signs up with the merchant under them.
