I got ditched by AdSense, after being there for 2 weeks - here's a link with details - [webmasterworld.com...] (I had to change my username from Gator, since it could've been registered trademark).
Anyway, site was getting around 12K-14K impressions a day. CTR was 0.8% on average, although on certain pages it was higher, on other's it was closer to 0.
Since it doesn't look I can get any sensible answer from Google why did they disabled add serving to my site I am looking for alternatives.
So far I figured out that for music related pages dedicated to certain bands I'd use amazon affiliate program linking to their CDs and DVDs. Wasn't making much on adsense anyway.
As for the rest... I am still researching.
Bulk of the site is various reviews. Mainly knives and flashlights. Plus historical information and pictures of US and other coutries nuclear testing. On those subjects I do have very high search ranking on most of the major search engines. So, I figure it's pretty much niche market for me.
So, word of the wise needed, what shuld I look for?
Is it possible to find knife or flashlight advertisers directly and deal with them? Or best to find similar service to adsense? Then which one would be recommended?
I've tried fastclick, but got turned down, site is ok with them, but can't accept now.
After reading forums I am looking info ValueClick. Although not sure yet is it only banners or more than that?
Any other advertisign network or other options I shuold be looking into?
