But one thing though, I'm under technology category, I've tried few other categories and they are really bad. If there's minimum for average CPC then that's probablly it.
I plan on using it, I would say it's best AdSense alternative, but only if your site category is technology. It comes in handy while waiting for yahoo :P
I find their ads are more targeted than Adsense because the ads are by category, not by page content.
I find their ads are LESS targeted than Adsense because the ads are by category, not by page content. But that's because my pages cover a wide range of topics.
They do have a few start-up technical issues, including the recent three day outage and some reporting glitches. Their ad code doesn't validate and contains uncommented script code.
They've told me they plan to fix the Firefox incompatibilities in their next release, but that remains to be seen. The support is reasonably quick and uses real humans.
Moneywise they're even more variable than Adsense, absolutely all over the place (generally higher PPC than Adsense but lower CTR). Seems to have improved recently for me, so I've been adding their ads on more pages and sites. I've only been testing it on a low-volume site, this month will be the first month where I'm due a payment, so I can't comment on that side of things.
They describe the current system as beta, I would agree with that. Usable, worth trying, but far from fully working.

Yes I agree, I've been doing a lot of testing. When you put it to be under all categories, ads are highly targeted, really depending on the content. However this way you wont get any serious profits. Technology category pays very good, but most of the ads are the same ones! Very tricky situation. Or you provide your users with variety of ads and get paid less (increase CTR but CPC will decrease) or stick with the good paying ads and earn more but (decreases your CTR but increase your CPC)

True, the code they are using appeared to be evil. During the outage if you had ads on your site, it wouldnt load the site/page cuz of the ads. Very annoying but bearable situation. The whole "interface" will amaze you in the begining, but after awhile you'll encounter many little stupid bugs. I had a problem with login. Out of a sudden I couldnt login, I tried with "forgot my password" but I would just show code. This is the first and last time I had to contact support. It took them 2business days to reply. They told me it's case sensitive, and until then it wasnt. Weird.
Then also after this whole "maintance" period, I see dialog box where it says to change my pass, like it's first time login. Then my transaction details are gone etc...Nothing unbearable, but surely can be annoying.

This's the major minus if you ask me. I use linux (only) so I dont use IE, my default browser is Opera. I've done some tweaking, but still when it comes to generating ads... So I'm using Firefox, even incompatible, it's the most compatible browser on *nix for AdSonar. I'll have to contact them and encourage them to fix these incompatibilities since this is really really annoying.

No problems with payments, it's net 30, so after excatly 30 days you'll see if your payment is approved (sent) or not. In next 10 days you'll get the check. I live in freaking Bosnia and still no delays. They are sending it from NYC, so US folks may get it few days earlier or something. However no problems with this.

I completely agree with this one, and it seems like it wont go out of beta for awhile.
AdSonar is definetely worth trying, just dont give up on it in first few days. Stick to it, and once you figure out how it works, find out about "secrets" it'll suit you fine.
Adsonar gets my vote as best AdSense alternative at the moment.
