Small time traffic

I'm new to the affiliate game.
I have been reading on forums for a couple of months now and just put up my first site about two weeks ago.

It's only getting 15-20 uniques per day and hasn't been indexed by Google yet.

I got some good traffic for the last week (100 uniques per day)cause some forum featured my site in their feature of the week. But now sadly I'm back to small time traffic.

Any ideas on how to get indexed more quickly?

I've tried getting some back links but my content is holding me back I'm sure.
I just added 7 articles this week and hope to be up to about 15-20 by next.

How many articles should I have up before I really push for back links?
Or should I Just keep focusing on content?
Or is there anything else I should be pushing for?

Patience is not my strong point.

Probably the best way to get indexed, if you dont already have some frequently indexed sites, is to add your site to as many free directories as possible.

Since you cant post urls here, I cant give you a link to a *directory* directory, but search on google for something like "top free web directories" or something similar and submit to as many as you can.

I find that google finds and indexes the main page of my sites within 24-48 hours when I do this. After that, it seems random as to how long before Google starts indexing all of my content.

free directory links are great. They are regularly spidered and will get the bots to your site fast.

even better is the fact that they're FREE! :)

Remember, every inbound link helps! To find good directories, go to Google and search for things like "free link submit" or "submit a site"... add your keyword to the search for more targeted results.

as for your question of "how many articles is enough"... just one if it's good! Concentrate on quality and everything will be cool. :)

Submitting to the wrong directories can get you 'buried' in Yahoo searches.
