Amazon Product links?

Links for individual products

I only recently became an amazon affiliate. I was wondering where can I find individual affiliate urls for specific prducts? How do I go about finding these urls? To me it looks like there are only general links for banners for certain categories. What am i missing?

I'd start by signing onto associate.amazon.com, and then clicking "Build Link" and "Build Product Link"

Although I personally haven't done it, I believe that a section called "build product link" will help you build a link to a product.

Also, you can build the link yourself, there is a general scheme Amazon uses for affiliate links, and there's a little helpme on that too in the associate section.

Every week or so, someone posts this question in the Amazon Associates discussion boards--browse or search for "direct links" or related terms, and you'll find the responses, which always include a standard link format which you can use with your Associate ID and the item ASIN plugged in to build a link to any item.

Rookie:

I've found the best way to promote individual items is using the following link structure:

[amazon.com...]

Simply replace the appropriate spots and you have your direct link.

The reason I use ref=nosim is because this creates a link directly to the product page (JUST the product) instead of a page with the product and "similar products." Given the bonus you get for direct linking (i.e. they buy the product in the link), I find it's worth it to keep as little as possible between them and the product I'm referring.

You can shorten the link a lot by using one of the hacks that I read about in the book Amazon Hacks.

Sometimes typing the links by hand is quicker than using their tools.
