Dear all, I am new to CJ so please excuse if this is an old question. I appreciate all the help I can get. Does Google penalize sites for having CJ links on their site. seems I remember that years ago that was so. does anyone know? thanks in advance

Google search is said to downgrade "thin affiliate sites"--sites that don't have much content beyond affiliate links and information. Doesn't matter if those links are CJ, Amazon, eBay, or some other affiliate program...
You certainly can have affiliate links without being penalized, so long as they don't cross a certain line.
