Hi everyone,

I have a question for you web pros. I have a site that is currently getting about 50k pageviews a month, but growing. It's geared toward one particular city and it's surrounding communities. I'm thinking about contacting local companies to buy banner ad space since I don't have enough traffic to make and money on affiliates programs or AdSense.

Any opinion on how I should price for CPM? My audience is mostly (70%) 26-50 years old, and by the nature of my site, they are consumers. In the sense that they're not coming to my site to read or see pictures.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Depends how you monetize the site with advertising. Are you using text links and banners?
On our local sites we charge $2500 CPM for impressions.

Talk about a serious lack of credibility. Where in the world are you going to find someone to pay $2.50 per impression? Perhaps on a Mesothelioma page, but even that is a stretch.
