Advice with Video Game Forum ?

Our video game forum has gradually been increasing traffic over the years. Were at about 5000 unique visitors a day / 10,000 page views a day. About 2000 of those visitors are google keywords regarding video game related content.

I'm only making about $10 a day with the site. Something just feels very wrong about that.

My current advertisers are Google Adsense & Burst Media. I tried applying to Casale Media and Tribal Fusion, but they rejected saying that i'd have low advertiser demand.

We dont sell anything specifically on the forum, just a place to hang out for the most part. But my google keyword ratio is going up by the day it seems. ( I use VBseo as well )

Any help out what types of programs I should look into are much appreciated. I just signed up with LinkShare, But it always seems like those programs sell anything. Maybe I need to try again.

I feel for 5000 visitors / 10,000 page views a day I should be making out better. Dont you guys think so as well ?

happy thanksgiving guys, btw.

No, forums generally don't make much due to people not clicking ads. Game content has horrible eCPM. Mix them together and there you go.

Just a thought but have you looked at amazon associates or something similar? You could promote new games, or games that your users regularly talk about.

I'll look into Amazon Associates, thanks.

And you're right, Stout. They do have horrible CPM's.

gaming campaigns on a CPL may be something you may want to test out, since there are a ton of new ones out and they may give you a good eCPM for the traffic - gamers.
