an affiliate marketing mag?

My ex-boss had one of these for some reason. It looked interesting - some nice reading material for when you're in the can. Anyone has a subscription or any opinion on a hardcopy mag dedicated to our industry? I'd subscribe if I wasn't off to parts unknown in Europe.

I've tried to suscribe twice with two different credit cards but each time they turn me down.

I want to read it but not enough to have my bank draw up a USD cheque from my UK account and post it across the pond.

I've read every issue.

It's quite good, but tends to be aimed at the novice affiliater marketer such as myself. It has been a great learning tool.

They have a free monthly magazine you can sign up for. I've found very useful stuff every month.

Just tried to order a subscription to teh aff mag but was refused as my CC issuier doesnt support AVS....

I tried to order a subscription to revenue a few months back and had the same problem with 2 credit cards.

Rather peeved I emailed them and quickly received a reply saying that only US credit cards supported AVS and so only US credit cards would be accepted.

They did however post over 2 trial copies for me to check out, with the offer of sending me a pro-forma invoice should I wish to subscribe.

The issues I received were interesting enough although nothing ground breaking. I'd say they're more useful as a barometer of the affiliate market than anything else, e.g. general trends, what's hot, who's advertising etc.

Did I want to subscribe, yes, but not enough to go to my local bank, queue for 30 minutes at a forex counter for a US cheque, write a letter, walk to a postbox etc etc.

Net result for Revenue, one less subscriber. Ahhh well.

Google "revenue magazine" and you'll find a lot of other merchants that sell it. Some have it at discounted prices.

a bit off topic, my previous job I dealt with credit card transactions over the web and many were international, so we had to disable CVS/CVV checks, or risk losing transactions. I'm a bit surprised Revenue would restrict card transactions like this. Given the narrow niche of the industry, I'd say they're losing more subscriptions than they're protecting themselves from scammers....

I started getting Revenue in the mail for free for some unknown reason. I really like the mag.

Great magazine comes out 4 times a year. It is now on newstands also with a circulation of about 130,000

I started getting it for free and I find it very useful. Some of the info is aimed at beginners, but alot is not. It came adressed to my website and not my personal name, so I'm not sure why I started receiveing it. CJ (and others) should send all their AM a copy. It would probably boost their overall earnings.
