I don't have a adblocker so I am quite unsure about the way they work. With something like Norton adblocker what do they actually block? The ad serving code which I imagine would be very hard to determine if you keep changing it or do they just block all standard IAB ad sizes surpressing the graphics leaving a grey box in their place (or even worse an ad sayting blocked by Norton!).

Also the more worrying thing is by doing this does anyone know if the ad would register as an impression in Doubleclick etcs stats believing it has been delivered. If so it is a nightmare for CPM publishers as the clients ROI would look terrible and jeapordise future campaigns.

What I have found helps negate this ad blocking is to run it through ad management software that can make the url of the ad refer to your ad manager, and not directly to the company for the ad.

ie. When someone does a mouse over of the banner, the url that shows is www.yoursite.com/your-ad-manager.php or whatever, but when they click on it the ad still takes the visitor to the advertiser's site without any problem.
