Multiple (0f the same) Affiliate links and rankings

I have an affiliate who wants to put my link on ALL the pages of his website (same link about 10 pages).

Currently hes ranking well but using adsense only.

Im worried that google may drop his rankings when he does this.

Ive heard they dont like affiliates that much.

Am I just being paranoid?

How about "masking" the affiliate links with PHP redirects through a folder that's excluded in .htaccess?
