Google Publisher Payout to be Through Adsense

Sure glad I never pushed any Google affiliate programs. They are going to require you to link your affiliate account to an adsense account to get paid through adsense.

That's all well and good but since they kicked me out of adsense 2 years ago for no reason, I would not be able to get paid for July and August.

Anybody who is pushing any program through Google affiliates and who has been booted from adsense will not be able to collet earnings for July and August.

How's that for do no evil.

I thought this announcement was very odd indeed. I can understand using the same payment infrastructure but they have checkout as well. Why assume that every affiliate would have an adsense account? I'm sure there is separation there. And why have to apply for an adsense account if it just doesn't work for your affiliate site? Strange indeed.

Nothing to do with Adsense.

They want you to use a GMAIL account to login to Google/Performics.

Google Affiliate Network publisher payments will soon be made through Google AdSense accounts...

You must link to an approved AdSense account in order to receive payments for earnings. Starting on August 13, 2009, if you're the primary user of your publisher account, you'll see an account notification asking you to create a Google AdSense account or link to an existing Google AdSense account...

You must link your accounts before midnight (Eastern Standard Time) on September 21st, 2009 to receive payments through Google AdSense for July and August 2009 earnings (depending on relevant advertiser payment terms).

That sure reads like you need an adsense account. If not, they certainly could of worded it better.

Didn't Google claim in early 2008, and then "announced" in August 2008 that they sold Performics to paris-based Publicis? Was that a marketing spin, 'cause all checks till today sure say "google affiliate network, inc."

i earned $900 from google affiliate netowrk in july, so it looks like I won't get paid because my adsense account was banned for life.

This sucks big time.

I know someone who had a banned AdSense account and was choosen for the AdSense payment beta.

They kicked him out of GAN when they noticed, but he still got his earnings up to that point by cheque.
