I am SO bored

this work-from-home affiliate lifestyle is killing me! It was nice and dandy for the first 2-3 months, but now it's driving me crazy to the point I'm taking on spillover projects from my former company just so I can have some semblance of structure in my day!

I have a lot of time to go workout, and practice guitar and take some fun classes at the local community college, but geez, I only have so much initiative through the day to find things to keep me busy.

I'm not the most gregarious guy either (ok, pretty introverted) so during the day the few friends I have all work or have SO's and I'm not one to just go out and hit the bars every night... - i.e I'm becoming a hermit!... I'm actually even calling my folks to have someone to talk to!...

what to do?...should I get a talking parrot or paint a face on a volleyball?

I would expand, you have the chance to do what many people only dream about. Try to find new markets, invest the money you are making in the company (obviously) and some securities and expand the websites you are already having.

I finally found a new project in which I'm interested and I believe that it might bring in a lot of profit.

Already worked a few hours on it during the weekend and for the moment I've finished about 4 pages. A few pages still need some more research and in my head I have ideas for about 20 extra pages.

My plan is to make at least 100 pages within the next few weeks and I hope it will be able to bring in at least $500 a month.

I think I will release the site in pieces. The first piece should be ready next week and by linking it from my other two sites it should be spidered by Google and other SE real soon. I also got a plan to quickly get about 100 good backlinks.

I have a similar situation as rfung, I've been working full time in this business for about two years now and I'm not thinking of getting a regular day job anytime soon. My day pretty much goes like this: check stats, talk to partners, watch some tv, read books, go for a drive, rollerblade, work out and of course come up with some ideas for future projects. But yeah that's pretty much it, I go partying on weekends and sometimes in the middle of the week too. I've been thinking of going to Europe too. The funny thing about money is that it doesn't buy happiness :) - money with no time to spend it just plain sucks. Time with no money to spend isn't much better. Having time and money is the best option, but now you have to figure out what most people don't have a choice on, which is what to do with the extra time and money.

Why not join a volunteer organization? It'll allow you to contribute on the local level, and also be a good reminder of how fortunate you are to HAVE that time freedom, so maybe you'll make more of the time that you DO have to work on your sites.
Don't take your free time for granted - life can change on you in the blink of an eye...

True, very true. Just like some financially rich people throw away money in idiotic ways (and they don't stay rich for long). February flew by and I'm afraid I have no idea what I did with it.

For another 3 years you wont feel bored (though you might feel frustrated). Then if you feel bored again, you will have enough money to rent out a posh apartment for your mistress).

And then if your wife finds out you can have lots of excitement running around naked with your head chopped off! Or you might just get divorced.
you can even know then what freedom actually tastes like!

Think long term man. Whatcha gonna do after 6 months of vacation to keep the boredome out?

When i feel bored, i just take my wife and we go whereever pleases us.

Planning to go on a 6000 KM ride on my bike with her to the Himalayas this August.

It is always more fun to do fun things together.

Your post reminds me a lot of myself, I started 2.5 years ago full time and it does get pretty lonely in the house.

I decided after a little over a year to split an office with a friend of mine who has a construction business and it has worked out great.

I find I get MUCH more done during the day as I have a "job" to go to, there are people to talk to during the day, friends to go to lunch with etc...

However if I want to go home or go mess around or whatever I have the freedom to do so.

Best of both worlds, you ought to check it out.
