Should I give a CPC merchant a sample of my traffic?

To convince them to approve my site.

I signed-up for this CPC merchant X's program thru a small aff network. While I was waiting for approval, I happily plugged-in their banner and text links to my new site. This site is small and new (about 2k pageviews daily average during its first 2 weeks online, all organic) but in a niche well suited for merchant X's business. Two weeks have gone by and the approval Iam waiting for hasn't arrived.

Do I wait longer or would it be better if I take out their ad and replace it with another? I'd like to give it more time because their service is well suited for my visitors, but it seems Iam waiting for nothing.

And oh yes, I emailed them twice - no answers.

Depends who you're talking to. Unfortunately there are a lot of affiliate managers who are BAD and this includes big name programs on CJ / Linkshare and mom and pop programs on smaller networks.

Bottom line, unless you're desperate to have this merchant onboard drop them. If you do need this merchant, pick up the phone and call the owner / top management (ask for the director / VP of sales) and tell them how badly you've been handled.

Good old "getting on the phone" is very under-rated. It's surprising how much gets done when there's a real voice on the other end of the line.

Iam from overseas. If I call them on the phone, it'll set me back about several days wages. If they put me on hold for a long time it could become a week's wage. I know that's probably my best bet to get a response but I can't afford that right now.

Guess I have to settle with the longer waiting time. Giving them a week more.

That sux. You don't have any international calling cards you can use? I know that here from Australia I can call to the USA and UK for as little as 0.5 cents per minute. Yes half a cent. That's just about free.

The standard rate here is USD40c a minute. In a country where the average per capita is just a little bit above USD $1k per year, USD 40c is a lot of money.
