Can I trust Company X?

I'm in travel business. (Sorry for not using widget-language) And ever since I started to be an affiliate with company X, I have loads of cancelations. Every month more than half of my bookings turn into cancelations.
I have been thinking that people just book something quickly to be sure of accommodation. Then they have time to search more for some place cheaper and cancel the first booking for free later on.
The funny thing is that only the large bookings get cancelled and never the tiny ones.
Does any one have the same problem? Can I trust Company X? Or is it normal that so many people cancel their reservations a few days before the check-in day?

I can't think of any valid explanation that would account for over 50% cancellations. You might want to Google for "company x reversals", "company x affiliate fraud", or other such things.

I'd try talking to the merchant and to their other affs. As long as you own the traffic, you can just sell it to someone else, which is the beauty of aff marketing.
