Geotargeting affiliates - US vs UK

Hi Folks - some pointers please.

I've a site that's popular in both the US and the UK.

I have signed up to 2 different affiliate programs, one targeted at the US and the other at the UK. Both pay for 'sign-ups' from their own country only.

Is there some software that I could purchase that would manage the geographical mechanisms, or do I need to start writing some code?

There are a number of IP -> Geolocation databases available at reasonable prices.

It is advisable to take updates as well as IP addresses often get reassigned by ISPs.

You can often get problems with AOL addresses as they seem to assign US addresses to international customers.
