I'd like to find out what people are paying for web analytics - and why you are using a particular service.

price per thousand, and the minimum monthly would helpful.

whatever it is, do you consider the expense to be a good investment?

I currently use HitBox. It does almost everything I need it to do, but falls short in a few areas related to dynamic websites. You pay around $30/month for 100,000 page views. Not too bad of a deal. However, it's hard to scale this solution to multiple websites, but real time reporting is nice.

I would recommend any JavaScript based solution(real time)over a simple log analyzer for true stat junkies.

Thanks Growingdigital.

Hmm, doesn't anyone else watch their traffic :)

ClickTracks on some sites, Traceworks on others, some clients use WebTrends, KeywordMax, OnePoint for some PPC stuff. They all have their plusses and minuses. Pricing is anything from $500 software purchase to a few grand a month.

Did a demo of Manticore Technology a couple years ago and at least at the time it was far and away the best tool I'd ever seen, especially for integrated tracking of web stats, email marketing and email exchanges between sales people and customers (B to B stuff). No idea what they charge now.

Well this is getting a bit better.
Not like getting to $X/day mind you :)

I'll look into those to calc out some more spreadsheet entries.

Found one, that is effectively $8.00/thousand page views at the first level of 50k pages. I kid you not. Any opinions on whether this number is kind of in nosebleed territory? Ok, so additional 1k views are $0.25, but still ....

C'mon, anyone else going to cough up an opinion?

Everyone in this forum watches their traffic like a hawk, gotta be something here.
