I have an account at CJ and I have several of my sites listed on my CJ account. These sites cover a diverse range of topics. I participate in about a dozen different merchant affiliate programs through CJ.

I've found a couple of additional merchants at CJ recently who would be a perfect fit for one of my sites. I applied, through CJ, and was rejected.

Later, I contacted the merchants' affiliate managers direct by email without mentioning that I was already signed up with CJ and that I had been rejected. Both times, the affiliate manager wrote back and basically said they would love to have me.

If you have multiple sites listed on CJ, does anyone know if CJ shows all those sites to a merchant when you apply, through CJ, to join the merchant's affiliate program?

If there is a widget merchant who has their affiliate program managed by CJ, is there any reason not to just open up a new CJ account and list only my widget related site and then use this new CJ account to apply to the merchant's affiliate program?

In CJ sometimes merchants set rules to auto decline or aprove affilaites for various reasons. If you start a new account for each site, then you'll show zero bars and no history and are probably more likely to get auto declined for programs.

What you've done - making contact with the affiliate managers is one of the best things you can do. Many times you might get auto declined because of some blanket rule applied to applicaitons but if you hit it off with the AM, they'll override that and let you into the program.

I think a merchant can see all the site you put in CJ when they look at your profile.

I'm in the same boat. I always respond to the advertiser and ask the reason for the decline as well as which site(s) they used to make that determination.

In many cases, they eventually approve, although it sometimes takes some back and forth. I'm sure the CJ interface could probably be improved on the advertiser side.
