Hello guys....

I have a question. I'm singed up at clickbank's affiliate program.
The question is:
Must I have an Affiliate link to a site. For example hop.clickbank.net/?#*$!xx.sitename Or can i have a direct link to order page?

You have to use the affiliate link or is they can't track your sales.

That link sets your id for the order but does not set cookies.
You'll get credit for the sale if the person buys right away.
But with direct links to the order form, that's sufficient.

So, can CB track sales when I use direct licks to order page?

No!. you must use the link CB provides you with. You will not be credited for sales otherwise. Look for a script called cbprosense. It will do all the work for you like content targeting the products to your pages as well as cloak/hide the actual CB links.

Yes, if you use that link and the customer buys during the same session (or returns through that same link later on).

You can provide an affiliate with an Url which takes them directly to the order page instead of to your sales page.

The advantage for your affiliates

They can write their own sales copy
They can keep traffic within their own site
They can drive visitors direct to the order page and not allow them to be distracted by external links at your site
One disadvantage for your affiliates: the visitor will not be tagged with a ClickBank cookie, so a subsequent return to the sales page by a direct route will mean they will not receive commission

The format of such an Url is

[clickbank.net...]

NOTE: This is an unofficial Url - it is not listed at the ClickBank site, so it can be withdrawn at any time (and was in fact removed for a period in August 2002). So use with caution. However the facility is available with the product easyClickMate (see section 5.1)
