90% of the traffic comes from a social network, so that makes it even harder of a case.
Can anyone who has monetized social media traffic, or a photo upload site, share any tips or experience they have had with making that website profitable?
Let's do some math: 1000x.05(avg ecpm for each banner/ spot)x3=$150 plus 100(100k pop served for every 30 minutes/per user)x1.4(ecpm)=$140.
$290x30=$8700/per month :)
If that's not enough add exit ads or full page ads.
I did this with one of my sites that was banned for adsense. And I could say it was a blessing in disguise as I earned doubled than what I was making when my only ads was adsense. The site became cluttered though. But still people loves it and just very few annoyed users email me about it.
Slap 3 rotating banners from different networks on each page. Sometimes banner networks pays well for first few visits from each users then will serve default if there's not enough inventory. So sign up more with different network and rotate them. Then add popunder (paypopup pays 1.40 cpm).
Does social network pays you for showing their banners? Which ones?
