Which is more common for advertisers? 120x600 or 160x600

I'm curious about overall online ad inventory and whether 120x600 or 160x600 is a more common ad size?

Thanks in advance :)

I use both. Depends on the site layout, of course. I use the 120 width more than the 160 though.

I'm more interested from an advertiser perspective not a publisher perspective.

For example, what do companies spend more on advertising budget, placements at 120x600 banners or 160x600 banners.

Someone told me 160x600 is becoming more popular, is it? how much more?

160x600 is more popular among the big brand advertisers for a couple of reasons:

1. It's a standard IAB (Internet Advetising Bureau) size.
2. It's bigger than a 120x600. (Yes, it's that simple.)

If the company knows what it's doing, then the most popular one is the one that they know converts. For my last co, it was actually MPUs (300 x 250 or whatever), because we advertised a lot on social media sites and skyscrapers/banners tend to suffer from ad blindness issues a lot more as they are around the perimeter, while an MPU is more central to the page. I would imagine the 160x600 would do better than the 120 in most cases and therefore is more visible.
