I have a popup code on my site for exit popups which uses a java script. Can this in any way hurt ,my rankings in search engines like Google and MSN?

Does anyone know?

No. But it does annoy visitors, and chances are if nothing you have on your site is a "must have", they'll never come back.

They cause visitors to install pop-up blockers, now many of these blockers also block affiliate links. Don't annoy people to make a sale, it's not worth it in the long run.

My site isn't about making sales, and receives 95% of the hits from google (about 7000 uniques a day). I'm not too worried about people not coming back since google is bringing most of the new traffic.

What a terrible attitude for a webmaster. Can you tell me what your URL is, so I can avoid it?

LOL I do agree that was a terrible statement by myself. What I meant to say was, that the reward for the popups outweigh the risk of having some people not come back since I'm getting a constant flow of traffic already from google. This is the only site that I feel this way about.
